You are not smart enough! You are too big! You are too aggressive! The way you lead is ineffective! You are too intense! These are messages I have internalized and constantly battling against, and most days I am winning the battle.
However, could you imagine a world where we didn’t have to fight our own demands? It would be a world where we didn’t believe or internalize other’s negative perceptions of us. It would be a world where we were smart enough, attractive enough, our passivity and aggressiveness was enough, where all of us were enough. Imagine how much energy, time, and investment we could save. We would all have a little more energy, time, and investment for truly loving ourselves and loving the people around us. Just imagine… Or can we make that our reality?
